Jessica – Getting My Groove back!

Hello, my dear CEC friends! January is definitely my favorite month of the year! There’s something about a new year and a fresh start that makes me feel so enthusiastic. And it’s also my birthday month! Yay for Capricorns! This month, I’ve been focusing on setting up goals for the rest of the year and prioritizing my health. Getting back to walking and exercising after the holidays has been so refreshing. I was surprised at how easy it was to get back to walking in the morning, even though I’m not a morning person. The wonderful ocean breeze in the morning was just what I needed after a busy December.

My focus this month has been on making some changes in my diet and preparing meals in advance so that I’m not overwhelmed. I make sure to fill my plate with protein and vegetables, and I’ve been snacking on grapefruit and oranges in between meals, which have become my favorites. The weekly challenges from our mentors have been my favorite part of this month. There’s something about the extra little push from everyone that makes me feel so excited and motivated.
